About Us

The Indianapolis branch of the People of Praise developed as an offshoot of the Muncie, IN branch. A number of Muncie members of the People of Praise were associated with a lawn maintenance and landscaping business (Mainscape, Inc) and saw growth potential in the Indianapolis area. In 1987, the decision was made to start a branch in Indianapolis. Twelve adult members moved to Indianapolis with their families. Since that time the city of Indianapolis has grown into one of the 10 largest cities in the US and had been called the Amateur Sports Capital of the US. Mainscape has grown into one of the largest landscape and lawn maintenance companies in the state. Today, the Indianapolis branch of the People of Praise has nearly 40 adult members and over 30 children. The branch has recently begun construction on a new community center on Keystone Avenue near Fall Creek.
